The 316th Civil Engineer Squadron and partnered contractors fix a sinkhole at Joint Base Andrews, Md., in October of 2021. The repair team installed reinforced concrete pipe to replace old corrupt storm drainage pipe and sheet shoring to ensure safety during pipe installation. This project involved substantial obstacles, extensive coordination and dedicated efforts from numerous entities - all within a rushed timeline to get the taxiway up to fully mission capable.
