VC-140B #89001 goes back into the wild blue yonder
The 316th Civil Engineer Squadron and contract workers relocated a static U.S. Air Force Lockheed JetStar C-140B display aircraft to its new location alongside the 89th Airlift Wing headquarters building at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, August 17-18, 2023. The C-140B aircraft were used for Military Airlift Command personnel transports, and also for 89 AW executive airlift operations where the planes were adorned with the distinctive blue and white with gold trim paint design associated with the Special Air Mission assignment and given the designation of VC-140B.
