MEDIA ADVISORY: President Biden to depart Joint Base Andrews in sendoff ceremony

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. —

President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and First Lady Jill Biden will depart from Joint Base Andrews in a sendoff ceremony on Monday, Jan. 20 following the presidential inauguration. President Biden will deliver his first speech as a former President of the United States and be farewelled by those who served in his Administration. Following the speech, President Biden and Dr. Biden will ceremonially depart with full honors.  

WHAT:          President Biden and Dr. Biden Farewell Ceremony

WHEN:          Monday, Jan. 20, 1:00 p.m. (time subject to change)

WHERE:        Joint Base Andrews, Maryland

Space will be limited and only media outlets invited will be credentialed and permitted on the premises. Those interested in this opportunity must RSVP by 6 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 19, by completing a media access application form here: Media Credentials Request. Additional screening of equipment and personnel by United States Secret Service will be performed on site before admittance to the ceremony area. Reporting instructions will be sent out before the event to those approved and credentialed.
