JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. —
Residents near Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, may notice increased traffic and road closures and traffic during the week of the 2025 Joint Base Andrews Air Show, which will be held on Sept. 13-14.
There will be increased traffic around the base due to the air show, and the Suitland Parkway will be temporarily closed during some air show performances. Please plan accordingly. More information is available here. Closure times will be approximately as follows:
- Thursday, Sept. 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Friday, Sept. 12 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Sept. 14 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For those attending, free general admission parking is available at Northwest Stadium with free shuttle services to JBA. These shuttles run to the base from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day, with the last bus departing from base to the stadium at 5:00 p.m.
Parking on base is limited to Department of Defense identification card holders only.
As a reminder, Joint Base Andrews is a no-drone zone. Per Federal Aviation Administration restrictions, small unmanned aerial systems are not allowed at the show or in JBA’s restricted airspace. Violations may result in fines, legal action and device seizure.
