JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. —
A UH-1N helicopter assigned to the 1st Helicopter Squadron stationed at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, made a precautionary landing during a routine training flight near Waysons Corner, Maryland, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on August 22.
The crew landed in a clear field after experiencing unusual mechanical noise. Following best practices, the helicopter is being transported via truck to JBA for additional repairs.
