JBA 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

The Joint Base Andrews community will be taking part in a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony from 8 to 9:30 a.m., Sept. 11, 2017.
The event is being held to honor the first responders who gave their lives to help others during the tragic attack in 2001.
During the course of the ceremony, there will be an F-16 Fighting Falcon flyover supported by the 113th Wing (Air National Guard) and a speech made by Col. Bradley Johnson, 11th Mission Support Group commander. The 11 MSG comprises Air Force first responders assigned to the joint base, to include firefighters, medical personnel and security forces Airmen.
An array of static displays, including a UH-1N Iroquois helicopter, ambulance, and fire and police vehicle, will be positioned alongside a military formation of 40 JBA personnel.
The ceremony will take place at Heritage Park on base, across from the William A. Jones III Building, located at 1500 W. Perimeter Road.
