Be wise, immunize

Installation leadership received their immunization to kick-off the flu shot drive on Joint Base Andrews, Md., Oct. 3.

Flu shots reduces a person's chances of contracting the influenza virus and military members are required to receive an annual vaccination.

A base-wide vaccination drive for retirees, active duty and dependents is slated for Oct. 17-18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the post theater. Children nine-years-old and up are eligible to get a shot.

"Be wise, immunize," said Staff Sgt. Mallery Niebanck, 779th Medical Group allergy and immunization technician.
