The 316th Operations Group hosted an immersion tour for Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne Bass, at the 1st Helicopter Squadron, Nov. 23, 2020. The tour included briefs about the organizations, missions, and responsibilities of the 1st Helicopter Squadron, 316th Operations Support Squadron, and the 316th OG.

JBA raises awareness for child abuse prevention

In addition to being National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month and Month of the Military Child, April is also National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the JBA Family Advocacy Program has been busy. To increase attention on the cause, the folks there have been planting pinwheel gardens around the base, teaching students in the child development centers about emotional awareness and providing information to service members and their families on the services that the FAP provides.

The U.S. Air Force Concert Band began their Guest Artist Series with a performance at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center in Alexandria, Va., Jan. 18, 2018. The event featured tubist Patrick Sheridan. The GAS is a community outreach program that honors veterans.
