The National Nuclear Security Administration will be flying over Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, July 17, to measure naturally occurring background radiation. MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Minot Air Force Base will celebrate Independence Day with a free picnic and fireworks display for base residents.  The picnic will begin at 5 p.m. July 4, at Bud Ebert Park. Free hotdogs, hamburgers, chips and soda will be available.
