Hometown?

Washington, D.C.

Why do you serve?

I serve the military in a dual capacity, as a reservist and a civilian. I've been a reservist for 20 years, six in the Army Reserve and 14 in the Air Force Reserve. I joined the military because I needed the discipline and I wanted to prove I was capable. Serving the miltary as a civilian was a natural transition for me.

How does your job impact the wing’s mission?

My job impacts the mission by incresing the speed and effectivenss of cyber support to the 811th Operations Group.

What's been your favorite assignement/TDY and why?

I did a six month deployment to Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait as a communication project manager handling major construction. My job was to plan, coordinate, and manage the subject matter experts in bringing communications into newly constructed buildings. I enjoyed brining the teams together, executing the plan and finally seeing users working.
