JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. --

Why do you serve?
I grew up in a military household and lived on several bases. The lifestyle and atmosphere was always enjoyable and I wanted to have a similiar lifestyle for myself and eventually my family.
How does your job impact the wing’s mission?
As a finance technician, I ensure Airmen's leave and pay are correct. That allows them to think less about pay and more about their individual mission, which in turn increases overall productivity.
What is your dream assignement and why?
I want to work on or support Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica. I think that specific mission is unique and would be an amazing experience. Additionally, their mission - to support a civilian research team based in Antarctica - is of great importance to both the scientific community and the whole world. I personally feel it would be a great honor and privilege to work in support of such a mission.
