The Veteran’s Day Parade is the nation’s largest parade honoring United States Veterans, with 25 to 40 thousand attendees and millions of television viewers.

The parade this year commemorated the centennial of World War I ending. According to www.va.org, 116,516 U.S. military members gave their lives during World War 1.

Following the parade, the United States Honor Guard Drill team performed in a halftime show for the New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, New York, Nov. 11.

The Knicks hosted a military appreciation night in honor of Veterans Day.
