HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah –
Hill Air Force Base joins a growing list of installations implementing the Defense Biometric Identification System as a heightened security measure for base entry. DBIDS is designed to easily verify those who are authorized base access using portable scanners at the gates.
All personnel must register with DBIDS, including active duty, guard, reserve, dependents, civilian employees, contractors, retirees, and other federal agency employees working on or requiring access to Hill AFB.
419th Fighter Wing reservists are encouraged to register as soon as possible and can make an appointment by calling the 419th Force Support Squadron's customer service section at (801) 777-0024.
Those who are able - including Air Reserve Technicians and civilians - should schedule appointments during the week. Others may register during UTA weekends, or Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the base's West Gate and South Gate visitor centers.
Reservists and their families who live out of state may register in DBIDS during the wing's Family Day Sept. 10 by visiting the Warrior Fitness Center between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Updates take about 60 seconds and require members to scan their fingerprints.
For more information, or to schedule an appointment, contact Staff Sgt. Roxanne Cardwell in customer service at (801) 777-0024.
