1 HS showcases JBA mission to Latin American cadets

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- More than 20 cadets from the Latin American Cadet Initiative toured the 1st Helicopter Squadron here, Oct. 16. The initiative, an Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs program, started in 2006 and invites the top two air force academy students from partnering Latin American countries to the U.S. for a month-long tour. Since 2010, LACI has been visiting JBA with this year’s tour showcasing the 1st Helicopter Squadron’s building and facilities, along with a night vision google and UH-1N simulator demo, UH-1N static display, and a local orientation flight of the National Capital Region.
