Why did you decide to serve in the military?
I decided to join the military because a career was possible and it gave me the opportunity to go to school for “FREE”!!
How do you think your job impacts the wing’s mission?
My job has a major impact on the wing mission. My section helps ensure all parties responsible for projecting Airpower and diplomacy from America’s Airfield are ready administratively. We ensure nothing administratively will how our Airmen back from accomplishing the mission in a timely manner.
What's been your favorite assignment/TDY and why?
My favorite TDY was being deployed with the United States Army for a joint tasking. I received very intensive training at Ft. Dix before the deployment, while deployed I met a lot of great people. This deployment early on in my career helped me understand how important it is for all the services to work as a team to accomplish the mission.
What is your dream assignment and why?
My dream assignment would be anywhere close to my brother. He is in the United States Navy and we don’t get to see each other often. He is currently stationed in Hawaii followed by Japan. Seeing him along with my sister in-law, niece, and nephews is important to me.
What's the coolest thing you’ve done in the military?
The coolest thing I’ve done is the military was serve in the base honor guard at Robins AFB, Ga. Although it was tough I found the mission to be gratifying because seeing the family members of retirees showed how much support is need to sustain a long military career. Conducting active duty military funeral help me realize being a part of the military is more than collecting a check or going to school free.
What hobbies do you have/what do you do in your spare time?
Hobbies I enjoy doing in my spare time is fishing, bowling, or any activity the whole family can partake in.
Biggest challenge you’ve faced in your life?
I overcame being a statistic of my environment. After joining the military I realized I the opportunity to make the final decision on my life.
