By Airman 1st Class Xiomara M. Martinez 11 WG/PA

What's your full name, job title and unit?

SrA Cameron Jordon Browning, Area Supervisor, 811 SFS, Charlie Flight

What's your hometown city and state (and country, if not U.S.)?

I am from Maricopa, Arizona.

Why did you decide to serve in the military?

I decided to serve because I wanted to be able to support my wife and child, while also securing our future.

How do you think your job impacts the wing’s mission?

My job impacts the 11 WG/89 AW by providing security for presidential aircraft, ensuring their mission is unhindered while on the ground.

What's been your favorite assignment/TDY and why?

Kunsan AB Korea was my favorite assignment. I was able to see a little bit more of the world and explore a different type of culture.

What is your dream assignment and why?

My dream assignment is Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. My grandfather was stationed there and it would be the second time I have been the same place he was stationed at while he served. I think that would be a really nice experience to share with him.

What's the coolest thing you’ve done in the military?

The coolest thing I have done is probably firing the Browning .50 Cal.

What hobbies do you have/what do you do in your spare time?

I like to spend time with my family, take my two sons to the park and play games. Any activities with them is my hobby.

Biggest challenge you’ve faced in your life?

The biggest challenge I faced in my life was my first six months at my first duty station. My wife, son and I were starting off by ourselves for the first time with no help from any of our family and it was quite an adjustment.  Overcoming that challenge was an important achievement for us and helped us prepare for the birth of our second son and a successful Air Force career so far.
