U.K. utility allowance survey begins

By 1st Lt. Khalisha Savage 48th Comptroller Squadron

The Per Diem, Travel and Transportation Allowance Committee is asking Airmen how much they spend on utilities while living in the U.K.

Input directly impacts the utility and recurring maintenance allowance paid to service members.

The survey is open to all uniformed military members living in privately leased U.K. housing who are currently receiving the Overseas Housing Allowance - Utility Allowance.

The electronic survey takes approximately 35 minutes and should be completed by the service member or spouse; whoever has knowledge of utility and recurring maintenance expenses. However, if you are able to access this survey from home it is recommended service members and spouses participate together.

To begin the survey, visit https://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/octutil.cfm.

Deadline for completion is Nov. 21.

Participants can open, close and re-open the survey at their leisure. Progress is saved as long as the survey is accessed from the same computer.

This survey benefits families throughout the U.K., so maximum participation is encouraged.
