JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
Staff Sgt. Otis Williams, Arlington National Cemetery non-commissioned officer in charge of funeral operations, and United States Air Force Chaplain Corps, NCO in charge of scheduling and logistic support at AF funeral, is Team Andrews Warrior of the Week.
Williams is being recognized by his supervisor for being a team player at Arlington National Cemetery, and for his service in providing military honors and compassion to Air Force members and their families.
The Niagara Falls, New York native mentors Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines with both his words and his actions. His supervisor said his professionalism and expertise have been instrumental in molding the junior military members serving at Arlington.
Since he enlisted in 2004, he has deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan in 2007, and to Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2010.
Husband to Aleta Williams and father of two-year-old son, Eason Williams said he joined the Air Force for a better life and to be a role model to his younger brother.
Williams interests are meeting new people, music and sports.
