JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
CoRC, or Culture of Responsible Choices, is an Air Force-wide initiative aimed at providing Airmen with responsible alternatives to a wide range of human behaviors which impair mission readiness.
These behaviors include: alcohol misuse, illicit drug use, tobacco use, fitness deficiencies (diet and exercise) and failure to follow safety and injury prevention guidelines.
CoRC provides Airmen with an outlet which is both positive and constructive by offering activities for Joint Base Andrews Airmen to get out in the community and utilize their free time responsibly.
Examples of CoRC-sponsored volunteer opportunities include: President's Park events (i.e., White House Easter Roll, Garden Tours, National Christmas Tree Lighting), Honor Flight-WWII Veterans Meet and Greet events, 11th Force Support Squadron Andrews events (i.e., Family Fest, Neewollah Ball, Breakfast with Santa), and much more.
The CoRC represents a cultural shift in the Air Force. It emphasizes both the roles of individuals and of the community for morale, safety and discipline.
