JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
This week's warriors of the week are Master Sgt. Paul Grugin, 11th Civil Engineer Squadron first sergeant and Motorcycle Safety Day event coordinator; Mr. Chris Parks, 11th CES assistant fire chief; Ms. Waynenetta Johnson, 779th Medical Group network administrator; Capt. Deb Santos, 779th MDG disease manager; Senior Master Sgt. Sam Brandt, Office Special Investigations special agent; Tech. Sgt. Freddie Mims, 11th CES Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineer Requirements project manager; Tech. Sgt. Alaryc Sampson, 779th MDG NCO in charge of customer service; Tech. Sgt. Brandon Ferris, 11th Contracting Squadron contract specialist, Tech. Sgt. Greg Dailey, 11th CES water and fuels maintenance; Staff Sgt. Julisha Patten, 779th MDG medical logistics supervisor; and Senior Airman Mauro Bueno, 11th CES power production apprentice.
They organized and executed the 1st Annual Joint Base Andrews Motorcycle Safety Day where the primary focus was on safety in conjunction with the Air Force's designation for 2011 as the "Year of Motorcycle Safety."
They met their goal to establish groundwork for an annual event that people look forward to attending with this year's turnout of 165 combined Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, retirees and civilians primarily from 8 different military facilities within the National Capital Region, representing all Branches of Service.
The group was coined by Colonel Kenneth Rizer, 11th Wing/Joint Base Andrews commander in recognition of their successful event.
