Three of Joint Base Andrew's own came together during a Compliance Inspection weekend to manage two different base clean-up locations. All of these Airmen were POC's (point of contacts) for their location and helped manage and oversee the turn-in of more than 15,000 pounds of bulk trash, 23,400 pounds of total recyclables with a total of 38,400 pounds of material collected.
A list of items turned-in/ recycled during the clean-up day include: 1,000 old computer systems and associated peripherals, 16,100 pounds of Shredded Paper, 500 pounds of unshredded White/Mixed Paper, 1,800 pounds of cardboard and 5,000 pounds of scrap metal.
Joint Base Andrews is proud to have these Airmen call this base home and thanks them for their dutiful service per this upcoming inspection.
