To access voicemail from your phone on base dial: 2-9999 Off base: 301-981-9999
Mailbox: As of April 4, all Voice Mail boxes will be identified by their 7-digit Directory number. For example, 2-5287 will become 222-5287 and 7-5287 will now become 857-5287.
Those numbers starting with a 612 prefix number will use their 7-digit extension as well, i.e. 612-5287. Keep this in mind when prompted for your mailbox number.
First time users: When prompted, enter the default pass-code 207620. Once you are logged-in, the system will play a short tutorial stepping you through entering a new pass-code that only you will know, recording a name and a greeting for your mailbox. Once this is complete your mailbox will be setup, personalized and ready for use.
Existing Users: When prompted, enter the pass code that you created when you first accessed your voice mail box. You will be greeted with the current number of messages in your mailbox and a menu allowing you to choose what you would like to do in your mailbox. Here are some of the basic options available when you login to your mailbox each time:
Main Menu
- Press 7 for voice messages
- Press 6 to make new messages
- Press 8 to change user options
- Press 0 to reach another mailbox
- Press 9 to exit system
Voice Messages
- Press 7 to play new voice messages
- Press 8 to play saved voice messages
- Press 6 to make new message
- Press 0 to reach another mailbox
- Press 9 to return to previous menu
User Options
- Press 1 to change mailbox setup
- Press 5 to access deleted messages
- Press 9 to return to the previous menu
Mailbox Setup
- Press 1 to change greeting
- Press 2 to change passcode
- Press 3 to change mailbox name
- Press 9 to return to previous menu
As new features are enabled in the system, these items will be added to the basic menu of options.
To access voice mail system and box from another phone on or off base:
From an On-base phone dial 2-9999
From an Off-base phone dial 301-981-9999
Once you hear the voice mail instructions, press 0, and listen and follow the voice instruction to access your mail box.
On Base Example:
- Dial 2-9999
- Press "0" once you hear instructions from base voice mail system
- Press "#" once you hear instructions to access your mail box
- Dial your 7-digit Mailbox number (222-XXXX) (857-XXXX) (612-XXXX)
- Enter your mail box pass code
- Listen for further instructions
Off Base Example:
- Dial 301-981-9999
- Press "#" once you hear instructions from base voice mail system
- Dial your 7-digit mailbox number (222-XXXX) (857-XXXX) (612-XXXX)
- Enter your mail box pass code
- Listen for further instructions
