JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is constantly seeking opportunities to improve on the exchange benefit. As part of this effort, the Department of Defense's oldest and largest exchange service relies on an ongoing Customer Service Index survey (CSI) to provide localized, real time snapshots of the job that the exchange facilities are doing in order to improve the value of the support provided to military servicemembers and their families.
The survey, which addresses customer service, pricing, sales associate availability, merchandise assortment and many more key issues, is administered at a quarter of exchange main stores twice a year.
Joint Base Andrews shoppers have the opportunity to participate in the 2011 CSI through Saturday, April 11. During this time, servicemembers and their families are encouraged to visit the exchange and provide feedback on locally available services. Beyond improving the exchange benefit, shoppers who participate will also receive a coupon worth $5 off their next purchase at the Exchange.
"We want to hear from as many Joint Base Andrews shoppers as possible," said Nildy Eiley, Joint Base Andrews Base Exchange general manager. "Efforts like the CSI are critical to not only improving the shopping experience, but also to bolstering the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program dividend that the exchange annually delivers to the community. These efforts act as a healthy exchange operation, producing great returns for Air Force quality of life programs."
The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is a joint command and is directed by a board of directors which is responsible to the Secretaries of the Army and the Air Force through each service's chief of staff. The exchange has the dual mission of providing authorized patrons with articles of merchandise and services and generating non-appropriated fund earnings as a supplemental source of funding for military MWR programs.
