Andrews Fire & Emergency Services – meeting the needs of Joint Base Andrews since 1942

Joint Base Andrews (formerly Camp Springs Air Base) has been in operation since 1942. Since then, the base has evolved in many ways, challenging the base fire department to meet these needs. Today, Andrews Fire & Emergency Service employs over 75 individuals, both civilian and military. The fire department protects more than 30,000 individuals who live and work on Joint Base Andrews daily. What exactly does the fire department respond to? Here is a brief list of the services we provide to the community:
