Base Cleanup

11th Civil Engineer Squadron

A base-wide cleanup is scheduled for Wednesday to help make Andrews shine.

It will be conduct in two phases. In the morning, the focus will be around unit facilities and switch to main base common areas in the afternoon.

Morning: Facility managers are the focal point for cleanup of the exterior of their buildings and are asked to organize personnel to perform these tasks. The facility manager is responsible for providing equipment, such as rakes and trash bags to support their unit's participation. Some cleanup tasks include cleaning up around dumpsters, picking up and bagging trash, leaves and small tree limbs. Any large tree limbs found should be safely taken to the curb, out of the way of traffic and will be picked up by the 11th Civil Engineer Squadron pavements section. Call 11 CES customer service at 301-981-5151 to arrange for pickup.

Afternoon: Each group and tenant organization has a designated area of the base and is responsible for collecting debris and loose items that are in the common areas. Any large tree limbs or items that cannot be placed in a trash bag (such as commercial, non-household and non-hazardous products) should be called into 11 CES customer service at to arrange for pickup.
