ANDREWS AFB, Md. –
The Clubhouse Restaurant at the Courses at Andrews is now open for dinner service.
The restaurant, which offers dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. also has undergone some other notable changes to heighten the experience of its patrons.
"We have hired a new chef; Eric Briggs," said Kevin Lichte, Food and Service manager at the Courses at Andrews. "He has been brought in to help us with creating new menu items as well as expand our service. The dinner experience which now features a full wait staff to serve customer meals also offers a menu with a wide range of items, including steak, seafood, and burgers."
According to Mr. Lichte, the changes were made in an effort to provide a quality dining experience for the Andrews community and to fill a void of eateries on base.
"Our goal is to expand dinner service to every night and our long range goal is to eventually be able to offer full service food operations throughout the day and stop our cafeteria style operation," said Mr. Lichte.
So far the responses have been positive.
"Our loyal golfers have led the way so far," said Mr. Lichte. "We have also had a good response from our base leadership, both officer and enlisted. We would like to see more of the Andrews community come out and take advantage of our quality food and fair pricing."
The restaurant is slated, however, to break service for holiday catering after Thanksgiving until the new year, when it will re-open its dining facility.
