ANDREWS AFB, Md. –
All uniformed personnel in appropriate career fields and environments as determined by the wing commander will begin wearing the blue uniform as the duty uniform every Monday.
Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Norton A. Schwartz made the descision Sept. 4 after discussions at a recent four-star summit.

"Prior to the events of September 11, 2001, it was common practice for a majority of Air Force members to wear the blue uniform as their uniform," said General Schwartz.
"We all agreed that part of our image, culture and professionalism is instilled in our blues," said General Schwartz.
