JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
The 2025 Joint Base Andrews Air Show takes off this weekend, and is expected to draw more than 100,000 visitors from across the nation's capital. The show is closed to the public for DoD and STEAM Day on Friday, Sept. 12.
Base residents and employees should anticipate traffic control points, signage and barriers along multiple intersections to ensure event traffic does not interfere with housing areas and air show support routes. Do not bypass signage or barrier instructions.
Getting to the air show
Base residents and employees planning to attend the air show have two options:

Driving: Follow Perimeter Road event parking signs and traffic controller directions to the parking area on the east side of the installation.

Walking: Walk from housing areas along Menoher Drive, and enter the pedestrian entry point near the intersection of Arnold Avenue and Arkansas Road.
Restricted roads
The following roads are designated as air show support routes and will have restricted usage to support to support operations:
- Arnold Avenue
- Alabama Avenue
- Arkansas Road
- Virginia Avenue (residents who live along this roadway must approach and inform traffic control points that they reside on the street)
- North Perimeter Road
- Menoher Drive
Gate access
Pearl Harbor Gate: DoD cardholders attending the air show should enter through the Pearl Harbor Gate (3045 Pearl Harbor Dr, Joint Base Andrews, MD 20762)
Main Gate: Mission Essential Personnel and base residents
Virginia Gate: Mission Essential Personnel and base residents
Impacts to base services
Expect traffic and base services across the installation from Tuesday, Sept. 9 through Sunday, Sept. 14. The chart below outlines affected services during this period and will be updated regularly to reflect new changes.
