Welcome to the show!

By Lt. Col. James A. Bowron Air Show Director

Welcome community guests! On behalf of the entire Air Show team, it is my honor to welcome you to the 2025 Joint Base Andrews Air Show! We are proud to present a spectacular lineup of performances that showcase the strength, skill, and precision of the U.S. military. Whether this is your first air show or you’re a returning guest, we’re thrilled to have you join us for this unforgettable experience.

This year’s show features the world-renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, who continue to captivate audiences with their unmatched aerial precision and teamwork. We are also honored to host the U.S. Army Golden Knights and the U.S. Naval Academy Parachute Team — these elite teams embody the professionalism and dedication that define our military.

You’ll also witness incredible demonstrations from some of the most advanced aircraft in the world, including the F-35A Lightning II Demo Team, C-17 Globemaster III Demo Team, and the U.S. Navy Rhino Demo Team. Each performance offers a powerful glimpse into the capabilities of today’s joint forces and the men and women who fly and maintain these remarkable machines. We hope you enjoy the heritage flights where we fly these modern aircraft next to their World War II lineages. Get your cameras ready for the F-35 and P-51 in close formation, and keep the cameras out for the C-17 and C-47 flight!

On the ground, enjoy stirring performances by the U.S. Air Force Band and the precision drill routines of the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard. Their presence brings tradition and excellence to the heart of the show and reminds us of the deep heritage we celebrate this weekend. We are also excited to share an amazing list of our modern and historic static display aircraft and invite you to learn more about the history of the Air Force by talking to the aircrew posted at each aircraft.

Our theme for the show this year is, “Where Legacy Fuels the Future” and we are presenting a new experience to the air show with our Heritage Hangar, where you’ll be able to learn more about the history of Joint Base Andrews and listen to an Air Force Hero talk about their experiences during their service to the nation. We have some truly great Americans who will be ready to answer your questions.

Thank you for joining us — we hope this weekend leaves you inspired, energized, and proud of the legacy and future of America’s Armed Forces!
