JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Mary Calacsan, 1st Helicopter Squadron mission controller, is recognized as the 316th Wing’s “Winnin’ Like a Griffin” at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, Jan. 7, 2026. Calacsan was recognized for being a force multiplier and working above her experience level to update mission control systems and enhance training and certification for her team, boosting available manning by 22 percent. Since her Sept. 2025 arrival on station, Calacsan has directly controlled 496 sorties over 1,200 flying hours, ensuring world-class support of Command and Control classified operations plans.
