JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
The 79th Medical Wing received an "Effective" rating from their recent Unit Effectiveness Inspection (UEI) conducted from Mar. 7 - 14.

The inspectors reviewed four Major Graded Areas (MGAs); managing resources, improving the unit, leading people and executing the mission. A well-run organization will focus on all these areas all the time.
During the out brief to the leaders of the 79th MDW, Col. Wendy J. Beal, Air Force Inspection Agency team chief, presented certificates and coins to the following individuals and teams for Superior Performance:

Capt. Eanah Whaley
1st Lt. Jeffery Smith

In addition to recognizing the Superior Performers, Beal also presented an inspection team coin to Mrs. Melanie Moore, 79th MDW Public Affairs officer, for her enthusiasm during her inspection interview.
As a parting note, Beal asked the leaders of the 79th MDW when their Airmen should start preparing for the next UEI. The entire room said "today". She smiled and confirmed that we will continuously strive to find new ways to do things better for our patients and our staff.
