JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
Airmen from the 11th Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Management Flight performed free winter vehicle inspections at the Joint Base Andrews, Md., Base Exchange Home Traditions parking lot, Dec. 12, 2015.
Members of JBA participated in the free inspections that provided basic safety feedback about their vehicles ahead of the winter season.
"We inspected vehicles to make sure they are safe to hit the roads this winter," said Capt. David Garcia, 11th LRS Vehicle Management Flight commander.
The inspections included checking the tire pressure and tire wear, fluids, lights, windshield wipers and the serpentine belt condition.
According to Garcia, it is important to get vehicles inspected before winter to make sure it is prepared to operate in winter conditions.
"I like to help people out and want to make sure that they are safe on the roads for winter," said Airman 1st Class Sergei Custis, 11th LRS vehicle maintenance apprentice.
LRS will be inspecting vehicles again Saturday Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the JBA BX Home Traditions parking lot.
