11th WIng Public Affairs

Personnel from Headquarters Air Force and the Air Force Personnel Center will visit JBA Thursday, June 11, 2015, to share information about the Enlisted Evaluation System and Weighted Airman Promotion System changes.

During the briefing, EES/WAPS subject matter experts will speak about changes that have already been implemented, those slated for implementation in the months ahead, and the reasons and philosophy behind the changes.

"This is one of the most significant changes to the enlisted evaluation and promotion system in a generation.  So, we feel it's important to bring this information directly to commanders and Airmen and allow them to ask questions and get immediate answers from the experts," said Maj. Gen. Peggy Poore, AFPC commander.

The series of briefings is targeted for specific audiences, as indicated below.  Please note the time and various locations for each.
8:00-9:00 a.m., Senior leadership brief, Community Commons/building 1442:  Aimed at wing, group, and squadron commanders/equivalents and their superintendents, background on the changes and overarching guidance will be provided.

3:00-4:30 p.m., All call, base theater/building 1674:  This briefing is for everyone!  The team will cover the changes to both systems, how to use the new forms and plenty of time for Q&A.

"As the first Air Force installation to receive these briefings, this is a great opportunity to learn all the details and raise any questions or concerns you may have," said Lt. Col. Colin Huckins, 11th Force Support Squadron commander.  "Your participation will help shape future presentations to other Air Force installations.  Most importantly, your understanding of EES and WAPS changes is critical to your career and your ability to take care of our Airmen."

The team will also conduct these briefings at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling on June 12, 2015 at Stewart Theater (8:00 a.m., Senior Leadership; 9:00 a.m., FSS; 11:00 a.m., all call; 2:00 p.m., all call).
