JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, WASHINGTON –
The United States Air Force Band will perform free concerts at several venues in the National Capitol Region throughout the summer starting May 29 through Aug. 28.
These weekly concerts will be held on the west steps of the U.S. Capitol on Tuesdays, the Sylvan Theater at the base of the Washington Monument on Wednesdays, and at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Virginia, on Fridays. Each concert begins at 8 p.m.
A different ensemble will be performing each week. Audiences will be treated to music by the U.S. Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants, Max Impact, Airmen of Note, Celtic Aire and the Air Force Strings. A different musical program will be presented each week.
In addition to these weekly outdoor concerts, various ensembles from The U.S. Air Force Band will perform at other National Capitol Region venues throughout the summer. For the complete list of summer concerts, please visit: http://www.usafband.af.mil/event/summerconcerts.asp.
