Joint Base Andrews reminded to update DTS information

By Senior Airman Mariah Haddenham 11th Wing Public Affairs

Service members at Joint Base Andrews are reminded by the 11th Comptroller Squadron to update their contact information in the Defense Travel System and LeaveWeb to receive notifications and information properly.

Systems such as LeaveWeb and DTS automatically generate emails letting service members know the status of their travel vouchers or orders.

"If we do not have accurate information, and there's a problem with your request, the system will send an email notifying you of the problem," said Linda Scott, 11th Comptrollers Squadron lead defense travel administrator. "If your information is incorrect, you may never receive the message and your document will not be processed."

To update personal profile information, service members can log into DTS, go to the traveler set up tab, and click on 'Update Personal Profile'. Under 'My Profile,' details such as address, phone number, email address and emergency contact information can be updated.

Electronic funds transfer information and the expiration date on government travel cards can be updated under the tab labeled 'Account Information'.

To ensure changes are saved to their account, service members must remember to click 'refresh account data.'

"Because these systems are automated, we don't control where the information is delivered," said 2nd Lt. Alayna Holt, 11th CPTS financial services flight commander. "Having the correct information updated in the system allows the systems to notify service members properly."
