JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
Staff Sgt. Christopher J. Dennis, 11th Security Support Squadron training instructor is this week's Warrior of the Week.
The Munster, Ind., native has been stationed at Joint Base Andrews, Md., since July 2012. He is responsible for developing the annual group training schedule for 856th Security Forces, educates three squadrons on newcomer orientation, self-aid buddy care, active shooter and shoot and move objectives. Additionally, he teaches use or force defense tactics for the protection of the President, Vice President, foreign and domestic distinguished visitors and 14,000 Joint Base Andrews personnel.
All these accomplishments are just the start of what Dennis hopes to be a 20-year career.
"I joined the Air Force in March 2007," said Dennis. "I have always had great pride in my country and after completing college and obtaining my bachelor's degree, I wanted to serve in the military."
Seven years in to his service, Dennis has great goals he hopes to achieve.
"I plan to hopefully achieve the rank of chief master sergeant, where I can help make influential decision on how we operate as an Air Force," he said.
That pride in country has driven Dennis to become a valuable part of the JBA team. Most recently, Dennis authored an Active Shooter/Verbal Judo presentation taught customer service organizations techniques to counter negative behavior.
During his off time, Dennis said he enjoys spending time with his wife and 5-month-old daughter, Adley. He also enjoys participating in and watching sports, especially football.
Congratulations to this week's Warrior.
