Wounded Warrior Project’s Soldier Ride visits Andrews

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. – On April 30, more than 30 wounded servicemembers departed Joint Base Andrews to conclude their final portion of the Wounded Warrior Project's 2010 Washington, D.C., to Annapolis Soldier Ride.

This was the fourth consecutive year and second year Andrews has been a stop for the more than 50-mile, four-day cycling event, which started in the U.S. capital and ended in Annapolis, Md., according to the Wounded Warrior Project's website.

More than 70 Team Andrews members escorted the wounded warriors to Annapolis, Md.

"Is there anything more important?" said Special Agent Kelly P. Mayo, Air Force Office of Special Investigations 7th Field Investigations Region deputy director and volunteer escort. "They have given a lot, the least we can do is show our support."
