Warrior of the Week

Master Sgt. Jim DeVaughn, USAF Band recording engineer and assistant producer, is the Warrior of the Week for the week of Sept 24, 2014 at Joint Base Andrews. DeVaughn is responsible for recording, editing and mixing live and studio performances of USAF Band musical flights. Devaughn was recently recognized for his audio mix of “America’s Veterans: A Musical Tribute” with a Regional Emmy.

Be ready with National Preparedness Month

Pictured is an emergency kit, which should contain such things as first aid supplies, enough food and water to last 72 hours, personal medications, radios and flashlights with batteries, printed maps or an atlas, and any other important documents. National Preparedness Month is part of the America's Preparathon hosted by FEMA which is a campaign to raise awareness within communities to know hazards in their region. Service members gather around to cut and serve cake during the First Quarter Birthday Meal at Freedom Hall Dining Facility on Joint Base Andrews, Md., Feb. 18. The cake, cut by the youngest service member, celebrates birthdays of Airmen born between the months of January to March.
