Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center has moved to new building, 1060

By By Kathleen Canfield, 779th Medical Support Squadron 779th Medical Group

Phase 1 construction of the new Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center (MGMCSC) is completed. All clinics have moved to the new building, 1060, with the exception of flight medicine, the pentagon flight medicine annex, mental health, acupuncture, audiology, community health, medical employee health and occupational health along with a number of administrative areas, to include TRICARE. The Family Health clinics remain located in the temporary trailers on Boston Road. All clinic moves will be completed by the fall of 2017.

“We’re very excited to have a new state-of-the-art facility and are committed to making MGMCSC a showplace of caring and commitment. For our patients, nothing short of the “best” in health services will do,” said Colonel (Dr.) Leslie Knight, Commander, 779th Medical Group.

The new clinic is located on W. Perimeter Road, directly next to the old building 1050. Upon arriving at the new facility, park in the four-story parking garage and walk through the covered pedestrian bridge to access medical clinics in the new facility.

Information desks are located on the first and second levels of the new facility, building 1060. Volunteers are available to provide assistance from 8a.m. to 4 p.m. and can be reached by phone at 240-612-1155.

The front entrance of the old Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center, building 1050, and the adjacent West parking area, have been closed due to continued Phase 2 construction. Patients and staff should use the South parking lot and enter through the basement of the building, near the loading dock and facilities office. Volunteers will be on hand to provide assistance.

Information regarding ongoing construction, clinic programs and events are posted on the 79 MDW website (http://www.79mdw.af.mil) and 779 MDG Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MalcolmGrow\)

“We update our Facebook page and website almost daily. They are a great resource for the latest news and information about MGMCSC,” said Knight.

Patients are also highly encouraged to sign up for MiCare, an online secure messaging system, to ensure they receive the most current news and updates about clinic programs and events. Stop by your primary care clinic for more information and to sign up.

We thank you for your patience during our move and look forward to serving you in our new facility.
