Be ready with National Preparedness Month

Pictured is an emergency kit, which should contain such things as first aid supplies, enough food and water to last 72 hours, personal medications, radios and flashlights with batteries, printed maps or an atlas, and any other important documents. National Preparedness Month is part of the America's Preparathon hosted by FEMA which is a campaign to raise awareness within communities to know hazards in their region. The picnic will begin at 5 p.m. July 4, at Bud Ebert Park. Free hotdogs, hamburgers, chips and soda will be available.
