The U.S. Air Force Concert Band, alongside featured artist percussionist Michael Burritt, performed during the Guest Artist Series concert at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center in Alexandria, Va., Feb. 22, 2018. Multiple U.S. Air Force Band percussionists have studied under Burritt. The series is a community outreach program that honors veterans, active service members and their families.

Special Olympians compete in 2018 D.C. Bowling Championship Special Olympians compete in 2018 D.C. Bowling Championship
Special Olympics D.C. is the sole provider of sports, health and inclusion programs that benefit over 1,600 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the district. Approximately 75 Special Olympics athletes took part in competitions, with more than 60 military volunteers from the National Capital Region helping with equipment, keeping score and providing encouragement to the participants.
