Inactivation Ceremony

Brig. Gen. Richard Prosek receives the 231st Combat Communications Squadron Guidon from Lt. Col. Robert D. Price, 231 CCS commander, during the inactivation ceremony. The 231 CCS's mission was to provide rapidly mobile, highly secure, state-of-the-art communications  services to the United States of America and the District of Columbia.

Combat Action Medal Awarded
November 1, 2007
Staff Sgt. Naeem Stanley, 316th Logistics Readiness Squadron, was awarded the Air Force Combat Action Medal, for performing duties while assigned to the 1058th Guntruck Company, Forward Operating Base Speicher, Iraq. During a combat mission, Sergeant Stanley's HUMVEE, which was the lead vehicle in the convoy, struck a landmine. The vehicle was severely damaged and Sergeant Stanley was injured. Sergeant Stanley was awarded the Purple Heart during a ceremony earlier this year. (US Air Force/A1C Renae Kleckner)
