Senior Airman Alana Dadlez, 11th Comptroller Squadron/Financial Management Flight Permanent Change of Station Travel Team lead, has been recognized as the Warrior of the Week at Joint Base Andrews, Md., May 13, 2015. Dadlez arrived at Andrews in February 2015, when the Financial Services Flight was restructuring to prepare for PCS season. Senior Airman Leilani Powell-Sanders, 11th Wing Logistics Readiness Squadron logistics planner, is the Warrior of the Week for the week of Oct.2, 2014, at Joint Base Andrews. Powell-Sanders was recognized by the 11th Wing for her participation in the first ever transportation tracking account number/transportation tracking number table top exercise. Her diligent work to eliminate redundant imputation of data, overseen by the United States Air Force Head Quarters at the Pentagon, led to the discovery of flaws in existing programs. Master Sgt. Jim DeVaughn, USAF Band recording engineer and assistant producer, is the Warrior of the Week for the week of Sept 24, 2014 at Joint Base Andrews. DeVaughn is responsible for recording, editing and mixing live and studio performances of USAF Band musical flights. Devaughn was recently recognized for his audio mix of “America’s Veterans: A Musical Tribute” with a Regional Emmy.


Pilot recognized for contributions to Senate Bill

Doane was recognized for his contributions and support to Senate Bill S. 1894, proposing the creation of an Air Force trial program allowing 15-20 deaf and hard of hearing individuals to attend Officer Training School or the Basic Officer Training Course. Logistics Planner Recognized for His Efforts
August 28, 2014
JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. – Airman 1st Class John O’Rourke, 11th Logistics Readiness Squadron logistics planner, is this week’s Warrior of the Week for his success in his career field here, August 27, 2014. O’Rourke provides daily deployment planning and execution support to over 1,000 organizations across the National Capital Region. 

The Detroit, Michigan, native single handedly booked over 23 averted flights, totaling $45,000 within two days. Also, his attention to detail enabled him to identify and submit 10 change requests to Air Force District of Washington, ensuring deployed service members arrival to their destination was safe and on time.

Senior Airman James F. Davis Jr. named Team Andrews Warrior of the Week
June 27, 2013
Senior Airman James F. Davis Jr., 11th Logistics Readiness Squadron scheduled maintenance liaison, was recognized as the Team Andrews Warrior of the Week for his leadership and outstanding performance.  Davis' section recently underwent a vigorous inspection during which there were no flaws or "write-ups" found.  

The High Point, N.C., native also headed a recent sports day for the flight, contributing to his unit’s morale and readiness.

Colonel Ken Rizer, 11th Wing/Joint Base Andrews commander, recognizes Air Force Staff Sgt. Ralph E. Sampson as the Warrior of the Week for single handedly stepping up to take on the duties and responsibilities of fitness monitor for the 811th Security Forces Squadron here.  Sampson developed individual and group fitness plans dedicated to get fellow Defenders "Fit to Fight."  He implemented, executed and followed through with every phase needed to maintain a quality force.
