Real hero caps off experience for JSOH guests

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –Army Staff Sgt. Matthew Zedwick, 2-162 Infantry, Oregon National Guard, gives a briefing to guests who have completed the Virtual Army Experience during the Joint Service Open House here May 14.  Zedwick was awarded the Silver Star for his actions during his most recent Iraq deployment. 779th Medical Group organizes for a safe Joint Service Open House

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. - Capt. Katherine Tille and Maj. Ami Parker, doctors with the 779th Medical Group, review a pediatric supply checklist while Lt. Col. Christine Grundel, a nurse with the 779th Surgical Operations Squadron, calls off different supplies at the Joint Service Open House here May 14. Wounded Warrior Project's Soldier Ride comes to Andrews

The first wave of wounded warrior cyclists receive cheers of encouragement as they roll past an audience of Joint Base Andrews, Md., members during the Wounded Warrior Ride. More than 30 veterans from around the country who have been injured in combat biked from Andrews to Annapolis, Md., on April 30, 2010. This was the second time The Wounded Warrior Project’s Soldier Ride has stopped at Andrews. Air Force conference center project nears 40 percent completion
